Welcome to February

Posted by Jenna Eddy on

Well we made it through 2021 and are now entering 2022’s toddler stage. We aren’t quite sure yet what it’s personality is shaping into.  Will it be the terrible ‘22’s or will life go back to the old normal? I guess we will have to wait and see.

Meredith, of A Lovely Blunder Knits, and I started a monthly knitting circle or Stitch and Bitch.  Whatever you call it, we are calling it Zoom Chat Knit Nite.  It’s the last Thursday of the month at 7pm eastern.  There will be prizes along the way.  It’s part KAL and part chatting and doing your own project.  So, don’t have a knitting group near you? Well then, join us! See details below.  And yes, it’s free!

i don’t know about y’all’s weather.  The weather in North Florida is insane.  It’s literally in the high 70s one day and then a freeze warning the next.  I just planted some bare root roses, now I’m hoping they don’t freeze.

i like to include a recipe and since Super Bowl is coming up, here are my party crockpot meatballs. Yes, easy.  Yes VERY tasty.  Yes, it’s a weird recipe; but, trust me. 1 bag frozen meatballs (about 20 oz), 1 16oz jar grape jelly (are you still with me?), and one bottle of Heinz Chili Sauce. Yes, I’m not kidding! Try it out! I’ll be serving them at my house at half time! put them in the crock pot and forget about them for a few hours. And no, I have no idea who is playing the Super Bowl   I’m all about the commercials.

Until we meet again in the next blog, keep your stitch count straight,

jenna

  • That is a good recipe! I used to make it for parties too. I used a bottle of barbecue sauce instead. I bet it’s great with the chili sauce!
Looking forward to our next meeting!
