Dolly: A Shining Star is a limited-edition Christmas yarn countdown created as a joyful tribute to Dolly Parton—a woman remembered for her music, sparkling stage presence, generous heart, deep faith, and wonderfully colorful spirit.

Over 12 days, you’ll unwrap a cheerful collection of hand-dyed mini skeins filled with bright color and plenty of personality. The palette is inspired by Dolly’s favorite colors, white and yellow, along with the pinks, turquoise, and shimmering silver tones that capture her unforgettable style.

Most of the colorways will be beautifully speckled, with a few variegated skeins mixed in. Although every day is a surprise, all 12 colors are thoughtfully designed to coordinate for shawls, cowls, socks, blankets, and other joyful mini-skein projects.

A bit about our new Clara yarn base: Spun from 100% superwash merino wool, Clara’s 19 micron super soft hand will have everyone who touches it swooning with delight. Clara’s 3 ply construction has phenomenal stitch definition. We’re loving Clara for cozy hats, extra soft sweaters and covetable scarves. Pure, simple, and, dare we say, luxurious, superwash merino yarns don’t get much better than this!

When Should I Open My Skeins?

Your countdown will ship on December 1, 2026.

To open your final mini skein on Christmas Day, begin with Day 1 on December 13 and open one numbered package each day through December 25.

Of course, there are no yarn police! You’re welcome to open them all at once or save the experience for whenever you need a little extra color and joy.
