2022 Not Sock Yarn Box Sampler Pattern

Hello Lovely Yarnies!

Southern Skeins and A Lovely Blunder Knits are collaborating to bring you a year long blanket sampler KAL! Each month you will get a new stitch pattern to learn.  Here we are making flat 12x12 (approx) squares for a blanket.  But, with a couple changes to stitch counts and needle sizes, we can show you how to take your new stitch and turn it into socks, cowl, hat, a scarf, or a set of dishcloths! The choice is yours!

Want to join in on the KAL fun on Zoom?

All squares are using a US Size 4/3.5mm knitting needle.

✨✨ Please keep in mind that two people have test knitted the squares before they are posted (Meredith and Jenna). The KAL squares haven’t been professionally tech edited and won’t be until the end of 2022.  This is a work in progress.  ✨✨

***A quick note - this stitch is VERY stretchy and grows with blocking! It results in a really interesting looking pattern and is worth including in our blanket, but I recommend doing a gauge swatch and blocking it before casting on your square.***

***Another quick note - for this stitch, in each 4-row repeat you will increase the number of stitches in Row 1 and decrease back to the original number in Row 4.
